Following the recent NI Executive announcement, we must remain closed for an extended period of time over Christmas and New Year. We will be kicking the New Year off in our PJ's and remaining in them until the 5th of February where we look forward to welcoming a swarm of hairy bears back into the Barber Shop.
Any appointments which have been booked on the system between 25th December and 4th February will not be charged, so don't worry if you haven't cancelled them. No payment will be taken. Alternatively, please feel free to reschedule your appointment for 5th February onwards.
As with any time the NI Exec make an announcement, we cannot take their dates as concrete and have said that they will review the restrictions after 4 weeks so as always, we are at their mercy. We will of course keep everyone updated as and when we know more information.
Until then, let us take this moment to thank you all for such great support through 2020. It has been a challenging year to say the least, not only for us, but for everyone. We hope you enjoy a safe and love filled holiday season with your family and raise our glasses to a much happier and healthier New Year.
Update posted: 14th October 2020
Following the announcement made by the Northern Ireland Executive today which states that all hairdressers must close for a period of four weeks from Friday 16th October 2020, our booking system has now been closed for the dates inclusive of 15th October - 12th November 2020. Any appointments which were already in place for the period we have been ordered to close will now be cancelled with immediate effect.
We will reopen on Friday 13th November and dates for this and the Christmas period are now open.

Well folks, it's the news we've all been waiting for! We have got the go ahead for re-opening from the 6th of July.
As you'd expect, things will work a little differently for the time being. Below are a few of the things you can expect from the Barber Shop for the foreseeable future. Remember these measures are in place to keep you, your family, our staff and our families all safe as we meander through these challenging times.
First up, the barbershop will be available by appointment only for all staff members. There will be a maximum of 2 barbers working in the barbershop at any one time (Frankie will be working from the back room for appointments as per usual). This is to ensure that the number of people in the shop at any one time is kept to an absolute minimum. It will also allow us to keep track of which customers are in the shop on the same day in case we should find out that one of our recent customers have tested positive for Covid-19. Your safety is of the utmost importance to us at all times.
We understand that there is a long list of hairy bears out there needing their hair cut and with only 2 barbers working in the main shop at once, we have decided to extend our opening hours to include a Monday as well. So appointments will be available between 9.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday and Saturday 8.30am to 3pm.
The usual 2 hour advance notice on appointments will be waived. This means that if there is a free spot at 1pm you will be able to book this spot right up to 12.59 if you are outside. Appointment times will be extremely strict to prevent a back log or build up of customers in the shop waiting because one person was late. If you can't arrive on time, your spot will be lost.
When you arrive, there will be a sanitisation station at the bottom of the stairs, please ensure that you sanitise your hands before coming any further into the building. Masks MUST be worn by ALL customers and should be put on as soon as you enter the building. Should any customer arrive without a mask, you will be provided with one at the the cost of £1/each.
For your and our safety, all barbers will be wearing adequate PPE including face masks and shields. All equipment, workstations and chairs will be disinfected between appointments. When in the barbershop, please use common sense when it comes to your hygiene. Please refrain from touching surfaces where possible and make sure you cough or sneeze into a tissue. If you have a temperature or are displaying any signs of Covid-19, please do not come to the barbershop.
All payments will be taken on the app in advance to minimise the risk of infection through cash payments. Due to the high demand for appointment slots, there will be a strict 24hr cancellation notice required for changing or cancelling appointments. Any notice less that 24hrs will result in your card still being charged for that slot.
There will be no Newpapers or Magazine available in the barber shop. Toilet facilities are available, but should be kept to a minimum. Children MUST remain seated in a designated area at all times to ensure safe social distancing is adhered to.
Our current online booking system is not compatible with multiple staff members, so please bear with us while we put the finishing touches to our brand spanking new system. It should be live within 24 hours and all appointments will be on a first come first served basis. Once the new system is live, the link for booking will be available here on our website and also via the 'Book Now' button on our facebook page.
Now we've got all that out of the way of what you can and can't do, we will remind you of what you will get. You will be able to see your shoulders and ears again once we cut those luscious locks off, you will be subjected to Frankies music whether you like it or not. You will be reminded that Liverpool are going to win the league and last but not least, you'll get chat, banter and companionship! We have missed seeing all of you and cannot wait to welcome you back in. These are certainly strange and stressful times for all of us, but together we will find our new normal and hopefully have a few laughs along the way.
